Bernard, Cassisa, Elliott & Davis is a civil litigation firm based in the Metropolitan New Orleans area. At its inception in 1947, the firm concentrated principally on civil litigation defense matters and limited its practice area to the Metropolitan New Orleans area. Due to the increasingly widespread interests of its clients, however, the firm expanded over the years in both realms and now handles civil litigation defense and other types of litigation throughout Louisiana. In addition, the firm represents clients in selected matters in Texas and Mississippi. Bernard, Cassisa, Elliott & Davis has a satellite office in Oxford, Mississippi, to better serve its clients in the Mississippi area and another satellite office in Covington, Louisiana, north of Lake Pontchartrain in St. Tammany Parish.

As indicated by the attached list of clients and resumes of individual members of the firm, our practitioners represent a wide range of business interests. Given this range of interest, the firm, collectively, can fairly state that it has experience in virtually all types of civil litigation presently pending in Louisiana. Thus, while the firm is probably best known in the area of products liability, it has the experience, and with that experience, the flexibility, to undertake representation in environmental and/or toxic tort litigation and other varied types of litigation.

Members of the firm are active in legislative and civic activities within the business community in Louisiana. The firm also supports involvement of its personnel in local, state and national bar association activities. Our attorneys are encouraged to participate in continuing legal education activities and to present papers or lectures on diverse subjects in a variety of forums.
